Have you ever wondered what “Fast Transition Rendering” in ProPresenter 4 meant or why there is a darkening on the screen every time you switch between slides?
Fast Transition Rendering is a feature in ProPresenter 4 that implements a slide transition method that is better suited for older or lower-powered computers. When Fast Transition Rendering is turned on and a slide transition occurs, slide A fades from 100-0% while slide B fades from 0-100%. This results in a transition where no slide is fully opaque and you can faintly see a black background behind them. When Fast Transition Rendering is turned off and a transition occurs, slide A stays at 100% while slide B fades from 0-100%. This results in a transition where the first slide is fully opaque and the second slide fades on over top of it.
Here is a set of slide examples that demonstrate what it looks like when Fast Transition Rendering is turned on and off.

First slide.

Transition between first and second slide with “Rendered Output Behavior: Fast Transition Rendering” turned on. Notice how the slide is “dipping” to black.

Transition between first and second slide with “Rendered Output Behavior: Fast Transition Rendering” turned off. Notice how the background stays unchanged.

Second slide.
