Ron Gervais has put together a very compelling forty second spot for Japanese Relief Aid. He uses the Japanese flag as a metaphor for the destruction Japan encountered on March 11, 2011 when a 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit the coastline. Over the course of the animation the red circle breaks apart into many pieces and engulfs the screen in a dark abyss. The screen then flashes to a scene from the nuclear reactor site where there are burning buildings, clouds of smoke and debris. This is a very powerful piece that urges supporters that the real work of rebuilding Japan has just begun and they need your help.
